Frequently Asked Questions After Your Session
Q: Why does Annie place Energy-Wave Balls on my skin?
A: Annie places Energy-Wave Balls directly on specific points that correspond to areas of tension, imbalance, or discomfort in the body. Pressing these points may help relieve pain and discomfort and support your body’s recovery process. Our technique works by stimulating healing points, often on the arms, forearms, and hands. This method is non-invasive and completely safe. We recommend taking a photo before leaving so you can remember the exact locations and continue pressing them at home for better results.
Q: What is an Energy-Wave Ball?
A: Energy-Wave Balls are made from a ceramic compound of silica, silver, and other minerals. They have a grounding effect that may help relax tension and stimulate energy-blocked areas, many of which correspond to traditional acupressure points. Energy-Wave Balls are reusable, so please keep them in their container and bring them to each session. Annie applies them to specific healing points on your body, and once applied, you should press them several times a day, about every 3 hours.
Q: How long do I keep the Energy-Wave Ball(s) on my skin?
A: We recommend leaving them on until your next session, or for up to 3 days. Annie may reapply them to different locations during your next visit. If they fall off, simply reapply them yourself or store them in their container.
Q: What should I do if I lose an Energy-Wave Ball?
A: No worries. If you remember where it was placed, you can continue pressing that same spot with your fingers to maintain the benefit.
Q: What do I do with the Energy-Wave Balls Annie applied?
A: Press each Energy-Wave Ball in the same direction Annie showed you during your session.
Q: What if I forget where an Energy-Wave Ball was placed?
A: We recommend taking a photo or selfie before leaving your session so you can easily remember the exact locations. If you need help locating them, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.
Q: Why is it important to remember where the Energy-Wave Balls were placed?
A: Remembering the placement points helps you continue your care at home and respond more quickly when the same issue comes back. Annie’s goal is not only to help you feel better during your session, but also to teach you how to support your own body between visits.
Q: What happens if I miss the 3-hour timeframe?
A: The 3-hour interval is a general guideline for the best results. Do your best to follow it, but if you miss it, simply press the points as soon as you remember and continue from there.
Q: Can I press the Energy-Wave Balls more often than every 3 hours?
A: Absolutely. You are welcome to press them more often if it feels helpful and supportive.
Q: Do I need to press all the Energy-Wave Balls each time?
A: Yes. Pressing all of them consistently will give you the best overall support.
Q: If a placement spot becomes sensitive or bruised, should I still press it?
A: No. If the area feels sensitive or bruised, let it rest until the sensitivity or bruising has resolved before pressing again.
Q: Which direction do I press on the top of the forearm?
A: Press firmly down toward the bone for about 3 seconds, then press outward.
Q: My skin is irritated under the patch. Why?
A: Some clients have sensitive skin or a sensitivity to 3M adhesive patches. The Energy-Wave Balls themselves do not usually cause irritation; the patch material is the more likely cause. Please remove the patch, store the ball in its container, and let Annie know at your next session.
Q: Can I shower with the patches on?
A: Yes. However, if a patch begins to loosen or fall off, carefully remove the Energy-Wave Ball, place it back in its container, and bring it to your next session to be reapplied.
Healing doesn’t always happen in one dramatic moment. Often, it happens little by little, as you learn how to listen to your body and care for it consistently. Each time you press the Energy-Wave Ball placement points, you are actively supporting your body and reinforcing the connection between awareness and recovery. Over time, this builds confidence — not just in the process, but in your own ability to respond when your body needs support.
Real progress begins when you take action with what you already have. Small, consistent care can make a meaningful difference over time. By remembering the points Annie placed and continuing to press them at home, you become part of your own healing process. This is more than a session — it is a way to better understand your body and support it with intention.
You do not need to have everything figured out all at once. You simply need to be willing to learn, willing to practice, and willing to trust that your body can respond when given the right support. Annie’s work is not only about helping you in the moment, but also about teaching you how to help yourself when the same issue returns.
